Our Organic Wild Morel Mushrooms, or Gucchi as it is locally known, are one of the rarest edible varieties of mushrooms. They can't be commercially harvested but grow naturally in the wild, making them all the more exquisite. They have a natural musk and earthy flavour with a spongy texture.
Widely used in gourmet French cuisine, they also go well with pasta, risotto and
pies. They also find space in recipes made by Michelin Star chefs. Morels enhance Indian flavours when used in Biryani or curry.
The rural community in Himachal Pradesh and other Himalayan states venture in deep forests to forage these mushrooms right after a thunderstorm. They are meticulously collected without breaking the tail, the most nutritious part, and then dried in shade to increase its shelf life.
Morels are rich in antioxidants and act as a natural blood purifier. They are also a rich source of Vitamin D and fibre content. Morels have low-fat content and help in weight loss.
Buraansh ensures that the Organic Wild Morel Mushrooms are procured directly from the gatherers and are of the finest quality.
How to prepare: Morel Mushrooms are completely unprocessed to retain their flavour. First, brush off the mushrooms to remove any dirt. Rehydrate the mushrooms in salt/sugar water for 30 to 45 minutes. Gently clean any debris and pat dry.
Precaution: Morel Mushrooms should never be ingested raw.
